Around Copenhagen on Vintage Bikes

I’ve been to Denmark plenty of times, but I rarely spend more than a day in Copenhagen because, if you know me, I don’t like big cities. Laura says it’s because I’m a lame hipster. I won’t deny that. But at the same time, I can’t resist the idylic charms of Helsingør, or the candy-sweet Ribe. Today changed my mind, though. Copenhagen is a gorgeous city, and I want to kick myself for not realising that sooner. All it took was a trip on vintage bikes.

Swedish Store Signs

There’s something particularly charming about old store signs. They have history, character, and craftsmanship that most store signs today lack. I’ve spotted plenty of these vintage store signs over the years. Whenever I visit Sweden, I keep an eye out for them.

3 Must-have Experiences in Norway

People have been asking on my Patreon for years: Please make travel guides for Norway! After all, that’s my home country, right? Well, I’ve definitely made quite a few videos about Norway. You can find them on my YouTube channel. But here’s an article if you don’t feel like watching videos. 3 must-have experiences in Norway, aka you HAVE to do these three things otherwise you won’t know Norway at all!

I’m Going Whale Watching in Iceland

The best time for spotting whales around Iceland is the summer: June, July, and August. This reputable company offers whale watching trips for higher but also better in terms of quality for adventurous tourists. I planned ahead and only barely managed to secure the last spot on one of their boats. But here I am! Enjoying a hot coffee and waiting for signs of whales.

Ice Fishing in Helsinki

In my ice fishing tour the group drilled holes in the ice and fish by sitting on fishing chairs. We set out to catch pikeperch, perch, pike, roach or ruffe. I had decent gear, but I didn’t pack my flotation suit, so I had to rent one, which the tour happily provided. All set, I was ready to go. Or was I?

Inside Iceland’s Ice Caves

You know what’s crazy about ice? It sings. So did the ice inside an Icelandic ice cave. I went inside prepared to nope the hell out because while I never had severe claustrophia, the sheer amount of ice simply overwhelmed me. If you’re brave enough, give it a try.

Roadtrip in Iceland

If you’ve never done it before, do it now: Rent a car and drive your squad around Iceland. This is how you experience this breathtaking country to the fullest.

I’ve been to Iceland many times before, but I never went with a bunch of friends until recently. Solo travelling is what I do, but having people around and share with you extraordinary moments in front of equally extraordinary scenery is something I’ve missed.

Up and Down the Stockholm Metro

I have to give it to Sweden. Their metro architecture is out of this world. Whether you’re rushing to make it to your office in time, or just setting out on an adventure around the city, the metro will never bore you. That’s for sure. Just look at this otherworldly ceiling. Somebody thought it was a good idea to make it look like the depths of purgatory. And they were right!
